Can someone tell me the cheapest way to obtain my hql? Do some places charge more than others?

MSAR CHARGES $20 BUT AT THE END OF THE CLASS THEY GAVE ME A POKER CHIP WITH A $20 VALUE TO USE FOR A HANDGUN LANE RENTAL. SO I CONSIDER IT A FREE CLASS.
I FINGERPRINTED IN LARGO MD FOR $50. THE CLASS AND FINGERPRINTING PRICES CAN VARY.

    The MSAR website says:

"If you already lawfully own a regulated firearm you are exempt from taking this class but still have to get your fingerprints taken and have your HQL application sent to MSP."

That can't be true? Did I miss something? I have several regulated firearms from pre-10/1/2013...am I exempt from class?

    Totally true. In SB281

If you owned a regulated firearm prior to Oct 1, you are exempt from training. That could include a regulated long gun as well. Doesn't differentiate.

Yes, you are exempt from the class. Make sure you complete the training exempt application.

I just submitted Express Registration for my wife and I over at LiveScan in Glen Burnie. Anybody have an idea about how long the process takes for fingerprinting? I am going to try to get there after work, but they close at 4.
