advice.

I know nothing about air rifles. Last time i held one was 35 years ago and i promptly shot my little sister in the a$$. Need a little advise. Looking to murder, slaughter, eviscerate, liquify, and otherwise dispatch with EXTREME prejudice, a large quantity of Submersive Burbans (caddy shack reference). Mrs Esterhouse is tired of hearing them under the house and has given me my orders.

I'm looking for an accurate pellet rifle that can take a scope for in the neighborhood of $100. 50-75 foot range would be nice. Not looking to take down a grizzly, but should be effective on rat sized minions of satan. TIA.

I have the Ruger AirHawk and I like it a lot. Plenty of power. If I miss the target the pellets will go through my 6' wood privacy fence.

if it comes in .22 get that one...even if theres a loss in FPS...a .177 will kill stuff but the .22 pellet rifles are more deadly IMO. Plus they make a bigger thump when you hit your intended target

I would recommend a conifer trap. That way if you have a bad shot, The animal will not get back under your house and die.. It goes snap and as soon as the animal exhales.. There will be no inhale.

If you could find some CCI Quiet 22lr, they are as quiet as my Gamo whisper.. lol

I'd go .22 vs .177 if it's for varmints.. more knockdown power.. (but the ammo is a bit more)
