You guys don't like the Nikons?

I bought the other half a D5200 and an additional 50mm 1.4f lens to go with it. We didn't know anything about photography and the pictures were appalling. I took a weekend crash course in Bmore that essentially taught me how to use the camera and things improved significantly. However, I was a bit surprised to discover my $800 COSTCO special was considered a consumer grade item and not full frame... :(

    I'm a Nikon addict :)

You made a few good choices. Going nikon was the obvious first. Getting the 50 in 1.4 was another darned good one. Also, full frame is overrated for what MOST people do. I've been shooting weddings for a couple of years now and am switching to full frame at the end of the month. My life is lived in wide angles though so it suits me. Don't hate on crop bodies just yet, they work VERY well.

This thread needs more AR pictures...

Taken with a Nikon D7K in the kitchen. Three speed lights. Chalk in my mouth. Remote triggered.

Quite the opposite. Love 'em. Just got a better deal on the canon (and have a couple pieces of EF-mount glass in the safe) so I went that route. Quality glass and a keen eye mean a lot more than the label on the camera body.

The glass makes all the difference. I make glasses for a living, and through that I have a biased opinion on this topic. We make lenses from all the German and Swiss manufacturers...Zeiss etc. I'm working on getting a deal on some Zeiss rifle optics, possibly some Steiner.

Just completed my first ar build.

BCM BFH 16" mid length upper
    BCM Buffer tube, H2
    PSA Liberty lower
    Spikes enhanced lpk
    Magpul MOE hand guard
    BCM rear sight

Watched a few how to videos and test fitted each part before final install and had no issues. Thanks to a great forum and all the reviews that helped me with parts.

    Now for some range time!!!

Let's hear all the details on the one with the REV :)

REV Rail, Magpul Furniture DD GB, 16'' pencil barrel, Surefire brake, etc, etc, etc.

Dig the kryptek. I kind of want a fortis rail, but I really just don't need a quad rail on my SPR

Quad rail was for the Mrs. Never know how many accessories she will need!

Doesn't count ... no toes can be seen. Please retake showing toe ... :D

All kidding aside, nice paint job. Looks akin to snake skin.

Kryptek grows on you.. The hyrdro dip doesn't do it justice.

I'm an idiot. I was looking at the fortis rev in your pic not realizing it only has 2 rails and keymod sides.

Well four in the front (maybe 2'') "technically", then the top and bottom the length of the rail. Its a sweet rail for sure - 13'' in length

    My AR15

Precision Firearms makes some nice ones. This one has a Lancer composite hand guard, foldable Troy Night Battle Sights, Daniel Defense 1-7 twist 16" barrel, Atlas Bi-pod, BCM Gunfigher Mod 4 Charging handle, and matching 7075-T6 billet upper/lower. Also, Magpul ACS stock and Hogue Grip
