If I want to buy a .22 suppressor and not do a trust, you have to go to Reisterstown barracks to do the paperwork, correct? If so, that sucks as I live near Waldorf. If I do a trust, is that step negated?

Trust would negate having to make the trip to drop off your paperwork, and the MSP wait for CLEO sign-off.

Have you contacted your local sheriff? I was able to bypass MSP by having my sheriff do the CLEO signoff. Took him a week, I blame that on him running for re-election though.

Hadn't thought of the sherriff angle, although I'd be shocked if the PG sherriff is cool with it.

Oh, PG. Yeah, good luck with that. I'd thought maybe you were in Charles Co., then you'd have better odds.

The dealer you purchase the suppressor at will fill out the paperwork for you. Then you need to get your fingerprints done with LiveScan and on 2 FBI cards the dealer will supply you with. Take the forms and LiveScan receipt to MSP's Firearms Licensing Division in Pikesville and drop them off. They will mail them back signed.

Then attach passport photos to the back of each form4. Take the two form 4's along with the Certificate of Compliance form, 2 FBI fingerprint cards, and a check for $200 and mail everything off to the ATF at the address on the form4.

    Then........ wait.

I get that bit, I just don't want to have to schlep to Pikesville. If my county CLEO signs, do I still have to go up to Pikesville?

No. If your CLEO will sign thats all you need. But thats not gonna happen in PG.

    :party29:...:(

Not that I'm shocked, but we know for sure he won't sign off?

I cannot say 100%. But I'm 99% sure PG wont sign. Many of the counties have an agreement with MSP that MSP is the only one that will sign.

While we are at it....MSP is not located in Reisterstown either.

Wow. Everyone has to be an expert. You do know its basically right off Reisterstown Road right? The OP was close enough. No need for a correction that wasnt needed in the first place.

Yeah bud...I drive past it about 20 times a day.

Reisterstown Road also runs deep into the City and Starts at just south of Caraway Road in Reisterstown, travels through Owings Mills, then Pikesville (where MSP is), and continues into Baltimore City.

MSP is roughly 13-15 miles from Reisterstown pending on what point you start...and two towns away.

So I'd like to think I am an expert on the location of MSP.

My original post was made in jest as someone else commented on Waldorf not being in PG county.......but the internet is serious business to you.

Isn't there an MSP barracks in La Plata? Do you have to do it in Pikesville?

That would suck for you to have to run all the way up there from the 'Dorf.

All NFA forms MUST be dropped off at MSP's Firearms Licensing Division on Reisterstown Rd.

If you read post #6 the OP states that he knows its in Pikesville. He posted that almost 8 hours before your post.

Or you could just be back pedaling. Either way, doesnt bother me at all. Might wanna work on your comedic skills though. Nothing about your original post made it sound like a joke.
