What is the precedure when you tax stamp is approved to register with the MSP.

You need to do the MSP Initial MG registration form within 24 hours of picking up your gun. It's online at the MSP website.

If not done in time, 12 MSP officers will come dressed in black to your house between 2 - 4 AM within a day or two. Yep, I heard that was the standard operating procedure from a guy who has a friend that works in a gun shop who knows a cop who overheard it at work.

MSP all ready knows what you have, why don't they just tell you to send in the check? It would be much easier on both MSP and the owner.

But...If you don't send in an initial why bother sending in a renewal form?
If you are to break one law...just go ahead and break another.

Keep in mind with all NFA items especially MGs a transfer takes place between you and the class 3 dealer at that point paperwork is sent to ATF. I would be suprised if the feds dont Cc the home state.

    Definitely not where you are!
I'm doing my first annual registration of my Cobray M11 machinegun. Now, I've purchased this firearm from Lock Stock and Barrel, in Taneytown from Deb and Scott Wilhide. What in the world should I put for the "Previous Owner’s Personal Information" since this was from Class 3 FFL01 dealer? I would think putting down their FFL number instead of their drivers license would be better. Plus I feel awkward asking for such a thing, not to mention date of birth and full middle name. I'm not sure what I put down during the initial registration, but I'm pretty sure I put down their FFL number and address. Any help and experience with this would be helpful.

I just don't put down what I don't have... what do they care anyway...

After looking through my saved documents on my computer, I found what I sent last time. Basically everything, except I placed their FFL number instead drivers license, and didn't put anything for the date of birth, considering it's an F-ing business! Anymore insight on what other people do with these stupid forms would still be helpful. Thanks again.

I never get one in the mail. I have to print it or just copy last years and mail in with a check and change the date to this year. I personally believe that they have no real records in order.
