Yes, I noticed the same thing about the gritty trigger. There's a break-in period with the trigger and it smooths out over time. Mine has already improved and I've only put 100 or so rounds through her so far. Give it a little time, right out of the box it's very rough.

I had a rough/gritty trigger on my M&P 40 that didn't go away. I bought and installed the Apex Trigger Kit. It made a world of difference.
