Picked up my 9mm sbr today

    Mailed: 10/15
    Check cashed: 10/19
    Form recieved: 5/16
    Signed by Sara Jones

I must have just missed you at 2A today.

I went by to start the paperwork on a SWR Octane9 HD for my YHM 9mm SBR. Hopefully I'll get the stamp back for the SBR next month as it went pending 12/9. I did fondle it a bit while I was there. And Tom did mentioned to me that a few lucky people were able to pick theirs up already. I guess you were one of the lucky ones.

If you can, I'd really like to hear what you think of the YHM SBR after you get a chance to take it to the range.

EDIT: just saw that you updated on NFATracker.com, lol.

My Galil SAR is FINALLY done, and getting transferred on a form 3 to Engage. My rough math is that I'll it'll be transferred to me in March 2013. I've heard form 3s are 3-5 weeks these days.

I should have my Octane9HD in the next 2-3 weeks:party29:

I'll let you know how the YHM shoots when I get a chance to shoot it

    Sounds good!

When you pick up the Octane9 send it in to Silencerco/SWR for the free upgrade to the new CTA baffles. They also changed the piston assembly design so that Osprey pistons are now used. If you haven't seen the new baffles check out this vid.

The new stainless steel CTA (Click Together Assembly) baffles makes takedown even easier as it eliminates most of the fouling from getting to the tube.

Here's a post that Henry at SWR posted back in February regarding the CTA baffles and the free upgrade:

" The new Octane HD uses Osprey pistons, has an all 17-4 stainless core and is nearly as light as the all aluminum core in the original Octane, and the Click Together Assembly baffles make it easy to break apart and clean. The performance is essentially better in every way.

The upgrade to a new style Octane HD is free of charge to original Octane/Octane HD owners. Sign up for email alerts at http://www.swrsuppressors.com/ so we can email you when the upgrade program is finalized."

I've already heard of a few that got theirs upgraded so I'd just give them a call.

    Hope this helps.

    Congrats! You're gonna love it!

I've had my 9mm Osprey for awhile now and never go to the range without it.

    BTW, who was your examiner?

NP I'm waiting on a YHM 9MM SBR stamp as well, looking forward to hearing how yours shoots.

I may get around to shooting it this weekend. Or I might just wait two weeks until the suppressor stamp for it comes back and just shoot it then. It's going to be expensive to shoot with the slidefire stock on it:D

Sweet, you find a good source for Colt mags for it, and which slidefire model did you get?

For mags get yourself some of the 20 or 32 round Metalform mags. MidwayUSA had some of the 20 rounders not long ago and I was able to pick up a few of the 32 rounders from a shop in VA.
