Youth Programs - Howard or Carroll County

In search of any sort of youth shooting program in Howard County, or even the Eldersburg/Sykesville areas. I have a friend who’s son does marksman class on the Eastern Shore and loves it. Looking for something similar for my 8yo.

Check some go the member clubs of the AGC. There are quite a few.
Maybe too far, but BCGF has free youth shoots (not regimented program) staring in June I believe. Should be twice a month on a Monday eve. Runs through the summer.

4-H check with you local extension office.

It is a nationwide program and very rewarding. I was a volunteer in Charles Co for a number of years. My son enjoyed it and did quite well. High emphasis on safety.

Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club has a big youth program. They are one of the biggest clubs of the Associated Gun Clubs.
The AGC Range is only about 10 minutes from Eldersburg.
