Come shoot our Fun Match at York Isaak Walton in Dallastown PA. We're have a midweek, morning match on Tuesday, September 17th. Check-in will be at 9:00 am and we will start shooting immediately after that. We hope to be off the range before it gets hot.
This match is a very light competition with the emphasis being marksmanship, fun and few firearm regulations (other than safety). The rifles can be from any country, but must have been issued before 1960 and use smokeless powder. All shooting will be done from the bench. No prone, or seated on the ground. This is designed for the average shooter, not the high-power match competitor. If you're looking for serious competition this will not be a good match for you. Again, this is designed to be a low key, fun competition with a focus on comradery, marksmanship and a good reason to get your old milsurp guns out for some fun. The match will generally only take about two hours or so.
Preferred registration will be through Practiscore (which is free registration and free to use), but we will also take walk-ons. If you're a walk on and there are already 16 shooters registered you won't be able to shoot. To find the match on Practiscore, go to https://www.practiscore.com/search/matches?query=York . A list of matches for York IWLA will appear on the page and you just click on the York IWLA Walnut and Steel link. That will take you to the registration page. If you have any questions, please post them here and I should be able to give you and answer pretty quickly.
