    After events this past weekend I'm thinking mountaintop property just got more valuable, and the prices on houses adjacent to a creek or river will take a nosedive.

    Maybe. All depends on the terrain, and the location of the neighbors .

    It's West Virginia, there aren't a lot of flatlands... :D

    Find a hillside, maybe push up a berm of dirt, and fire away. Of course be respectful of the neighbors... Don't fire towards dwellings or livestock, and don't shoot at oddball hours and you'll be fine.

    We regularly shot out to 400 yards on my buddy's farm in Jackson County when I was younger. Long ridgeline that was straight and flat on top. It was all pasture land, so it was devoid of trees. There are flat pastures on the bottomland around there that stretch for 500 yards or more.
