Wish I could remember the manufacturer. They resemble a Anderson. But to remove the top and bottom to replace the glass wasn't difficult. What a great feature, tilt in.
I have installed many many new construction and replacement windows.
Nope, on those type windows, ya raise em up a smidge, tilt in and push up one side till the pivot points come out of the jamb.Wish I could remember the manufacturer. They resemble a Anderson. But to remove the top and bottom to replace the glass wasn't difficult.
I never worked on a Anderson. Just thought they came apart the same way. My badNope, on those type windows, ya raise em up a smidge, tilt in and push up one side till the pivot points come out of the jamb.
Andersen windows are a little different. Some type make ya remove screws and pull the plastic tracks up and out, then the sash cord out of the hole in the sash and voila.
Oh no. Andersen does make a window called Renewal by Andersen. Those are a type of replacement window that Andersen makes. These may come apart in a similar way as your type. But the Andersen " new construction" windows come apart like I said. They are similar to the way the old school lead weight type double hungs worked, but their balancers are spring loaded gizmos in a box housed in the frame.I never worked on a Anderson. That pic is perfect.Mine are vinyl tilt windows. I have tried contacting (three times over the last year) the manufacturer using both their warranty form and general contact form, no answer. I am going to give a couple of the suggestions a call and see.
I am attaching the only pic I have on the phone at the moment. It's dark so it's a bit hard to get a good pic with the lack of light and a flash on the phone.
When I removed mine they had spring loaded sliders on each side that the wondow fit in. I want to say Continental is the brand. They were installed in 1996 when we built the houseOh no.
