It's already time to start thinking about upcoming MD legislative session, 2014 midterm elections, and winning the hearts and minds of Marylanders and their representatives.

Nationwide, recently, many gun control laws have been adopted through state legislatures and state restrictions. This wasn't by accident. It is a nationally well- coordinated and financed effort, even though accomplished through state legislatures.

We have several local groups as well as NRA, but imho even while supporting several, one of them ought to become the point of the spear and lead the 2A charge in MD. We need to fund them and provide support. Who is that?

MSI? Take Back Maryland? AGC? National groups SAF and NRA? Others? They serve different and overlapping purposes, but where should the average Joe send some $ to make a difference? Who should lead the charge into the Maryland battle?

For the legislative season: MSI, AGC, and/or NRA.

For legal items: SAF, NRA, MSI, AGC

For political items: Take Back MD

    Hope that helps some.

All great suggestions, hopefully to be elaborated upon. Somebody will have to emerge as the "point" organization against the anti's next round, and I guarantee they -- the anti's -- already have their plans in place for the next step, or opportunity, whichever comes first.

There used to be a saying -- rich people plan for 3 generations, while poor people plan for Saturday night. The left has learned from this, and adopted long range planning. They took control of the educational system, and thereby, the future. When will we?

For the upcoming Legislative Session , as much as donations to the Md based groups , set aside leave time , and travel expenses. Being there in person and talking to people is a big thing.

#1 are you a registered voter? In Maryland in most places registered as a DINO.
#2 are all your like minded friends and neighbors registered to vote?
#3 identify pro gun candidates and offer to help their campaigns in person.
#4 donate as much as you can to all the mentioned groups the best donation is your time.

    And as wallet permits ...

MSI, SAF, NRA in that order

MSRPA (local NRA affiliate), GOA, NAGR, JPFO ... and the list goes on.

I'm a firm believer in 'spreading the love', even if it is just a token membership. Each group has a slightly different charter, but all are strident supporters of 2A. Getting information from all of them helps me understand what they are focusing on, even though sometimes they seem to contradict each other on legal, political and legislative actions. Some even raise issues we may not be aware of, which helps temper reactive situations.

Another point is when 'memberships' are tallied, headcount gets a double, triple, quadruple ... or more hit, making our 2A supporting 'gross' number look MUCH larger nationally.

    Dentsville District 28
MSI is the point group at the MD legislature. ( Please come and join us there) SAF has been bringing the lawsuits such as Heller and Macdonald and many others across the country. The NRA after many years has finally decided to join us in MD at the legislature and lawsuits so horray add them to the list. We need bodies as much as we need money so join the fight and get in their faces. Convert who you can and discredit and discard those you can't. Unless you live in one of the solid Repube districts join the DINO movement so we can hit the incumbent libs the only way we can. At the primaries.
