I know what this is. Does anyone else?
It’s a Glock.

A recent acquisition, not from an auctionDid that happen to be a recent acquisition at auction?
Gotcha, there was one (missing the bolt though) at auction up in Forest Hills, MD a few weeks back. I was a bidder, but someone else who knew what it was (it was listed simply as a "Polish Mosin") bid it way up (still under the full value though).A recent acquisition, not from an auction
The Limited-run JeffG Anniversary Edition.It’s a Glock.
I mean without a bolt I'd hope so. You can just find a bolt for itGotcha, there was one (missing the bolt though) at auction up in Forest Hills, MD a few weeks back. Beautifully made pistols. Sticker shock when you look for original magazines thoughBought a S&W Model 52-1 from a fellow Bullseye shooter last October...pretty sure that's the rarest gun I own currently...
Luckily mine came with 3....I think I'll be ok...Beautifully made pistols. Sticker shock when you look for original magazines though
Take a look at the bolt head on your new 8mm Mauser Polish carbine, then compare it to a std Mosin bolt head. Big difference. The problem with the missing bolt is that finding a replacement will be pretty much impossible. I remember someone paying a huge sum for a Polish Wz. 91/98/25 some years ago only to find it came with a std 7.62 x 54R bolt. No bueno.I mean without a bolt I'd hope so. It was fun to watch the auction and I know someone over on Gun Boards who restored a sporterized Wz. 91/98/25 who would have loved to get his mitts on it (it's possible he was the high bidder). For anyone else the odds are good it'll never be more than a wall hanger, unless they can find someone with an original who's willing to loan them a bolt to generate dimensional drawings from and eventually a machinist to fabricate one (not possible to rework a std one to 8mm).
ABT- LOL! There might be four people on this board that care enough about Finn’s to know just how rare those “bubba’ed up” M39s are.Probably the PH...
