I wanna go fast
Looking for an idea of the market value of my K98. I love it but it sits in the safe and I don't shoot it. I've been wanting a 9mm semi-auto, so depending on what it's worth I may part with it.
It's German produced, but Yugo re-arsenalled. The Yugo's stamped their big fat crest over the German markings on the receiver so the manufacture date and location are unknown. The Yugo crest is dated 1943 for what that's worth. CAI import mark on the underside of the barrel. The rifle is complete with sling, sight hood, and cleaning rod. The numbers do not match and the front barrel band was replaced at some point with an Argentinian one. The only waffen marks left I can find are on the rear sight. The stock is beat; it's a shooter not a collector's piece. It's been cracked and repaired, as well as cut for a scope mount. The bore is sharp and the muzzle wear passes the bullet test easily. The rifle was accurate at 100yds the few times I've fired it. I don't think the barrel was ever fired in service.
Pictures are below. If I sell it, it'll come with 90 rds of ammo. So what's it worth? Or can anyone tell me more about since I've never been able to figure where and when it was produced?
