4. Tentative date for RRRC shooting match to benefit VCDL
Looks like the annual Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club shooting match to benefit VCDL is going to be on Saturday, June 11, 2022! I look forward to this match every year! If you never participated in this match before, the match is both challenging and a ton of fun! It’s a wonderful way to spend a Saturday in late Spring.

5. Is this the next gun-control fight?
Here in Virginia we have already seen part of Bloomberg’s plan to destroy gun rights: eliminate state preemption laws. He did not succeed to totally eliminating our preemption laws, but he did serious damage to them. Our saving grace was that 95% of the state is a Second Amendment Sanctuary.

Back in 2015, Occupy Democrats tweeted that a person had to be a special kind of stupid to want an AR-15.
But now they tweeted this after the Ukraine got invaded (note that the Wall Street Journal now says 18,000 rifles have been distributed):

When I started watching the video below, I realized just how completely the Las Vegas massacre in 2017 had gone off the radar. How so many questions had been left unanswered, considering over 500 people had been hurt and over 50 killed. How law enforcement completely locked down any information and kept it that way after the first day or so. How quickly law enforcement came to the conclusion this was a lone shooter. How the killer was shown shot dead in photos released by the police in short order after the massacre. When was the last time that the police released such a photo of a dead murderer right after a mass shooting, ever? The photo seems to show the killer’s wet blood over what appears to be dried blood underneath.
I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but this shooting was bizarre from beginning to end.
Oh, and when the shooting occurred, there were two pro-gun bills moving in Congress and headed for passage. One bill would have made a CHP valid in all 50 states and the other bill would have taken suppressors off the NFA list. After the shooting those bills were pulled and never came back. Interesting coincidence of timing.
This video is over 2 hours long, but I recommend it. The lady who documented the whole event did a great job of investigative journalism. It is riveting and the time will go quickly:

Funny how election years tend to have a negative influence the push for gun control.
This is an election year for the House of Representatives in Congress and a chance for Virginia gun-owners to vote out those State Representatives who have supported every gun-control scheme out there. Suddenly, no one is talking about gun-control in Congress.
Your vote matters and the gun controllers know it. Make sure you vote this November 8th! If you sit out the election and the gun controllers retain control of the House, Senate, and presidency for the next two years, you had best brace for a gun-control tsunami in 2023.

10. Republican and weak gun-rights supporter Glen Sturtevant has thrown his hat in the ring to run in Virginia’s new 12th Senate District next year
Glen Sturtevant was my Virginia senator for 4 years. His voting record on guns was so-so, ranging from low 80s to mid 90s. Sturtevant had been cozying up to Moms Demand Action during the time he was in office and in 2019 on the campaign trail he stayed completely mum on support for gun rights. Gun owners consequently turned their back on him in the 2019 elections and he lost.
Now he’s back, running in Virginia’s new 12th Senate District primary against incumbent Senator Amanda Chase and several other candidates.
Primaries matter and gun owners, if they vote in the primaries, can pick the best candidates to run in the major Virginia general election in 2023. That will be our last chance to turn the Senate around for another FOUR years.
