@chilipeppermaniac Thank you - I just got in from outside working in the sun running a push bush hawg for several hours - I was covered in a purée of poison ivy - in shorts and a short sleeve tee shirt :-/

The seller is asking $640 and knows what he has (he is an 87 yoa gunsmith has had an FFL since FFL’s first came into existence). He is the original owner and said he went through some hoops to get it (Davidsons special? I dunno. )

Make sure you're looking at the correct version. Earlier ones had fixed sights; newer ones have adjustable rear and fiber optic front sights.

The earlier ones go for a bit less.

I had three of these in the past. An older fixed sight which shot ok, and two later models with adjusable sight and fiber optic front sight.

One later model I had to send back as the accuracy was terrible and the one they gave me had too many light strikes so I sold it off.

    Just my .02.

I’m going back to finish helping the old fella tomorrow and if it is still sitting out on the desk I’ll look it over again.

I was wondering about collector value as we have too many 22 and 22 mag LCR’s LCP’s etc etc now and it has got to be too heavy for practical carry, compared to those …

He’s selling off his collection of 50+ years as a dealer (wife said something like a dozen safes) but, only bringing out 4 to 6 guns at a time.

All the M1-A’s and .30 cal carbines (all collector status) all gone (thankfully) as are all the Ruger single actions unless he’s missed some.

I asked him about any 28ga guns and he said yes, he has a 1970’s 4 gun set of Rem 1100’s .410, 28, 20 and 12, all with embossed engraving. etc. Incredible

If someone is going to collect .22 revolvers there are more likely candidates. K22 comes to mind first

Good point. I don’t discriminate when it comes to letting guns collect (as opposed to collecting guns, haha!) - I’ll snap anything up if it talks to me.

Glad I didn’t say anything that committee me!
