Someone is going to get a really nice pistol with that P226. That's a classic, folded slide, internal extractor P226. I bet it's all German, too.

It looks like the barrel block has maybe been jeweled. I didn't notice that at first.

I think you're right. My P226 is a U prefix and it's all German.

If the 226 serial # is U52 whatever else, likely from around 1994

If it (or the slide, at least) is German, you can tell what year it was made by checking the two letter proof mark date.

A = 0
B = 1
C = 2
D = 3
E = 4
F = 5
G = 6
H = 7
J = 8
K = 9
