I talked to her a little while ago. She has seen the thread and will keep her eyes open. Her dog is a chow/lab/shepherd mix and she's familiar with chows.

Yeah... BARCS is now off the list, after a couple conversations with them.

Problem is, we're running out of time to place him, and it's really bugging me.

He's too good a dog not to be somewhere special... but these close quarters aren't helping.

Would it be OK to pass this on in other social media, or are you trying to keep this in the MDS family? Also, the guy who lives across the street from me does golden rescue (he places a lot of adoptees in the neighborhood; our street looks like the Planet of the Golden Retrievers on Saturday mornings) so if you're hitting a wall I could ask him for advice as well.

At this point, if you would please check with your neighbor, I'd appreciate it.

Son is still working on his original family option, but what I thought was our best bet seems to have died out.
