Urbana HS went on lockdown this morning after a student brought bleach to school with the intent of making mustard gas (per instructions on TikTok.)
So, they wanted to keep everyone in a confined space with a deadly gas? Wouldn't you treat this like a fire and get outside with fresh air?
It's getting to the point where no human behavior, no matter how stupid, evil, or cruel, surprises me anymore.
As a species, we've reached rock bottom and have begun to dig.

Ban bleach. It's for the children.
…A morally adrift, sociopathic teenage basket case with angry-at-the-world revenge fantasies and solid sociopathy isn’t anything new.
Awright, here's MM Jr's account -
Announcement on the PA system identifies a "fire drill" with building evacuation to the football stadium. The alarm claxon wasn't the standard "fire drill," and the calm "move to the nearest exit" voice-over was different, too. Student body was held there for an hour, then loaded onto busses that transport them to Urbana Middle (adjacent property.) Students were packed into the UMS cafeteria like sardines. Teachers had no information about the situation. Eventually they were loaded back onto the busses and returned to the high school and told to "just go about your business."
There was a notable chlorine bleach smell upon the students' return. Apparently the perp tried to mix bleach and urine in several of the school toilets to make "mustard gas." (Ammonia and bleach will make chlorine gas, but there's not a lot of ammonia in human urine ... you'll need to add sulfur and hydrocarbons to get mustard gas.) Jr said the perp fled the school, but was apprehended later.
Police response was pretty large, and included both SWAT and the bomb dogs. Four students fainted and were transported to the hospital (two passed out at the stadium evac site.) Parents were, understandably, freaked-out.
