Just got this email from VCDL. an unrecorded vote for background checks. Haven't heard anything about it.

There is a push to pass Universal Background Checks without a recorded vote using something called “Unanimous Consent” in the U.S. Senate TODAY!

Call both of our Senators and tell their aides you want the Senator to OPPOSE unanimous consent on H.R. 8.

Press option #2 on both calls and leave the message with a staff member.

I thought that having a ccw bypassed the NICS check. Most the states ive been in this is the case.

We don't have NICS checks directly, VSP does the background check. CHP does not bypass BG checks, unfortunately.
