Crap in a HAT!.. after reading the above, I see that this is the case. WTF. Why does that make any sense. Am I missing something

The ATF at this point does not care if it is 'braced' or 'stocked' - either way its a fraking SBR now.

Their end goal is for me to register the fraking thing...

Can I just slap a stock on it, do the regular SBR to get it in a trust. Then once its SBR'd its not a federal issue. In MD its already registered as a pistol.. so when I take it to the range, I just slap on the brace and head out the door.

This doesnt make any sense... what am I missing

Does the ATF just want my money here? Or is there a legal angle I just dont see. Im assuming they just want my $

UGH. This pissing me off. Now im back to saying screw it... just pull the fraking brace off until this thing gets burnt to the fraking ground in court. What a bunch of $&$&. You want to transform my pistol into an SBR... you tell me I can do it for free, but then if my wife / son picks up the SBR when Im not home - they're a fraking felon unless I pay you money. What a bunch of horse crap
