Decided to take my Turkish auto loader out to the AGC for a couple of boxes of shells. I wonder what parts again; will decide to fall off this time after repetitive recoil. :D

Mission accomplished. Target destroyed :D I had to rebuild the top part anyway.

No parts fell off the shotgun. Which is good.

Lars here (one of the RSO’s) gave me a great tip about my magazine plug that likes to loosen up. I’m going to apply some clear fingernail polish to the threads. That should help keep it tight. And still be able to remove the plug later during disassembly.

Sometimes the hammers will crack and fail in them every so many Sg’s.
Maybe next time you have it apart a good visual could I- D a potential future problem.
Oh, I didn’t know this was a problem with Tristars. When I take the action out, I’ll take a pic and post it here for you to check out. Thanks!

How's the trigger on that thing? I have the 410 version for turkey and the trigger feels like two bricks rubbing together.

It breaks clean with minimal trigger effort required.

When I was prepping my shotgun for the range this morning, I’d decided to use grease instead of gun oil to lubricate the slides, and the bottom of the receiver where the bolt crosses over. It ran SOOOOO smoothly once it was starting to shuck shells.

if it rotates, oil. If it slides, grease.

You may never have a problem but I fixed a few on a few Turks.
Just something to be on the lookout for.
Its worth a look. Tiny cracks /fissures I think from heat treating.
There often chrome plated and easy to spot.

Have the gun stripped for cleaning at the moment. Here's pic's of the hammer.

Right up around the sear /hooks maybe little cracks?
Looks good as best I can tell.
That’s how you find and solve potential problems. While cleaning ,then examining if you ask me.
I only know about it from people bringing things to me to repair.
SG problems begin to come around this time of year.

Ya, those were not the best high resolution pictures. They're from my ancient iPhone 8. I did scrutinize those areas of the hammer you mentioned. Everything looks ok. I guess it wouldn't hurt to get another spare hammer from Tristar. Their customer service is pretty good. A couple of years ago when I was bitching about a groove wearing into the magazine tube (where the gas piston rides) they sent me a new magazine tube, piston and seal. Free of charge. :)
