Thanks for starting this thread. It felt good to be a part of it. I look forward to continuing into 2014 and beyond. Thanks to those who did so much more, especially the leadership that helped coordinate our efforts to be more effective. Leading can be a tough and frustrating gig with so many people. Thank you for stepping up for those of us that are not able take on that task.

Thank you to all of you, the members, the lurkers and all of your friends, family and co-workers that you have gotten to come out, call, write, e-mail, and fax.

While those behind the scenes are but a small group and had the most time, it is you, the members of this community that did the bulk of the heavy lifting. Those behind the scenes just oversaw the details, you were the big picture.

I'm very depressed today. I made it to Annapolis twice, first time I've ever been to the State house. I also sent numerous e-mails, made numerous phone calls, and wish I could have done more. I really am loosing hope for our country. I guess now it's time to start preping for the 2nd revolution. It seems more and more inevitable everyday. America is burning while liberals are fiddeling like Nero. "What country before ever existed a century & a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.”- Thomas Jefferson

I would like to call out and thank all of the members of Maryland Shooters, who stood up and opposed Tyranny!

Many of our own Spent countless hours in the bowles of Annapolis fighting for our rights. Using up vacation time, sick days, and personal days. The time
spent away from work, childern, and family was on behalf of all the citizens of Maryland, if they knew it or not. These Noble modern Patriots gave of them selves for the benifit of all.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK YOU MODERN SON'S OF LIBERTY!

(All I can see now is Terato's hair back lit by a beautful sunset while god bless america sounds in the back ground)

I find it depressing that they, our elected servants not our appointed lords, decided to lend more weight to unscientific polls in biased media outlets rather than the testimony from crowds that the MGA has NEVER SEEN before. Gay marriage was the prior large crowd...they got heard, we got ****ed.

Thanks to all of this community as a whole (firearms enthusiasts/2A supporters, not just MDS), for the education and support during this tyrannical event.

The Turn Around Strategy for Gun Laws

It is terrible that we lost without real consideration. After reading former Attorney General Currans',"Farewell to Firearms", it is clear to me the view of the many elected officials in Maryland. They simply believe they are doing the right thing, which comes before any other principal. Respectfully, we disagree with their assertions, but realize that no dialogue will change their opinion. The only way to turn their conclusions around is with them being defeated in re-election.

    I propose the following:

    1. Identify key individuals across Maryland that we need to defeat. Frosh and Raskin should be at the top of the list and we should consider how to defeat Busch to send a broader message. Democratic turncoats should also be defeated on their lack of backbone and future unpredictability.

    2. Develop a strategic analysis of their strengths and weaknesses. Determine allegiances against them in their districts. Recruit members to build a ground team to change the voter opinions. We can probably get some help from other States on tactics. This could mean each of us canvassing our neighborhoods to build support, but this will required a centralized database and message to communicate to each resident.

    3. Contact every victim of a violent crime in the last 10 years which should be about 392,000 people in Maryland. Try get a survey and their vote to defend themselves in the future. Contact every Gun Store, Gun Owner, Sport-shooter and get their contact information and assurances of participation. Build an outreach program at every school in Maryland to learn and participate in training, etc, with the purpose of expanding ownership. Contact offenders and determine from them what could have stopped them from using a firearm in the commission of a crime and develop proposals for an agenda.

    Everyone's thought is welcomed.

For grins and giggles, ask your Delegates for the actual numbers for and against the bill. I got them for all three of mine and posted a thread for people in that district to call, write, e-mail, send a carrier pidgin. In the case of District 21, they all voted how the majority of the constituents from their district that contact them on the issue wanted them to vote.

So before we go crying and complaining about mis-representation, get the number from your district first.

I don't like it anymore than any of you, but think how the other side feels and are probably saying the same thing about any Delegate that supported us and their majority.

    Now, back on topic.

Thanks to everyone who has and/or will be participating in this fight! It was nice seeing many MSI buttons and MDS stickers in Annapolis these past couple months, and meeting so many people with such devotion to stand up for what is right. Special thanks to people like Patrick and Terratos who have made huge sacrifices to fight for all our rights. Keep up the good work and see you in the trenches in the coming months.

Thanks very much to the members of MSI who organized and spearheaded many of our grassroots efforts, and spent lots of time in Annapolis behind the scenes strategizing. You guys did what many of us could not... take off multiple days from work and be in attendance every step of the way.

Thanks to the pro-2A delegates and senators who stood up for our rights, added amendments, and did everything in their power to slow this down or at least take its teeth out.

Thanks to this board, and it's members, for serving as a community where we can mobilize and share a common belief. Many fax machines were left smoking. We made a difference, not enough to win this one, but more than this state has ever seen.

Let's keep the momentum up. This state is not lost until we give up.

I live in 9A. While I have not asked for hard numbers, all three voted against this steaming pile of dung.

We must be neighbors! Am proud of my representatives and personally thanked them (or their staff) when I visited Annapolis.
