Looks like it was rode hard and put away wet. From Gunbroker, it's at $155 currently, so somebody thinks it's worth saving. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/976603045
Bubba custom? Or more like "stolen and recovered" ?

I actually know part of the back story to this. It was in a fire and instead of throwing it out and I believe it was up in Alaska but they got it up and running again turned it into that that monstrosity and it's been bouncing hands ever since. The goal was to let people know it's been ****** so it couldn't be passed off to an ignorant buyer thinking they were getting a deal. And as far as a shooter why risk one of the collectables when you can shoot one everyone already hates.A Johnson 1941 is on my bucket list and I keep an eye out for them.

That is um, quite the rifle you have there.Well I guess I'll show off the most recent bubba'd rifle I've had the opportunity to have a helping hand in.
Chinese type 53 cut down to 16 inches threaded 14x1lh with a Jmac custom Loud and Flashy muzzle break. Currently sitting in a previously cut down mosin M91 stock in which I slapped a polish AK grip onto it. With a sightmark red dot on top.
Despite it's looks it shoots softer than a AR.
