    the "lost art" of ringed loads have been around for years.

    I learned a slighty different way to do it

    slice one side of the shell just short of half way through then turn around the shell and do the same to the other side leaving about a 1/8th thick strip of uncut shell connecting the lower half to the upper half on both sides.

    I'd like to see what this does with a block of balistics gel.

    Also VERY dangerous. Potential for the tube to lodge in the forcing cone or choke, causing a bbl obstruction. Not all ideas are good ideas.

    Wonder how much plastic build up you get in the barrel since the shell is going out it.

    I can see it being OK for doubles, O/U, and single shots but would not try it in pumps.

    Also, pretty good shooting on hit part with a double barrel.

    The same guy also did a vid on making a wax slug with a shotshell that looks like it would be way safer than a ringed load. I still don't thing I'd do it with anything but a SxS, O/U, or single shot though.
