Smith and Wesson M&P15-22

Is there a waiting period for all type rifles in MD? I was looking at a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 22lr and was under the impression that it may be exempt from the waiting period. Is that correct or not?

Same, they called into the NICS system (took all of 30 seconds) and I was out the door with a M&P 15-22.

I had a shop in WV tell me he couldnt sell me one, because it had an adjustable stock. At the time I wasnt sure, so I never pressed the issue. Wish I woulda known.

How long ago was it? Prior to November 2010, every Maryland gun shop sold them as regulated.

About 3 months ago if that. I doubt I can get him to listen though. His shop, his rules.

He was just being cautious, to not risk losing his 01FFL. If he only looked at MD code, it appears regulated. He would have to be aware of the clarification letter from the MD AG's office to know that it's cash and carry.

Yes but to cover your ass i would have it go to an FFL and have the new buyer do a 4473 on it.
