Any idea when/if this will make it onto the MD handgun roster? Sweet looking little thing, I'm super excited.

20rd magazine, factory threaded barrel, factory fiber optic sight, factory optic cut, ambidextrous controls, and the ability to quickly swap between flat and curved triggers.

Someone will have to drop off a sample before 5/18. Meeting is 6/15. Should be on roster before end of July

I'm super excited about this as a potential option for AGC Falling Steel, assuming the reliability is there. 25rds in a mag means no need to reload on most stages, and being able to throw a R0 or 507K on there could make it even better.

As others have noted, it's going to come down to reliability and the trigger. If the reliability is there and the trigger is acceptable (or fixable), they're gonna sell a zillion of them. I suspect we're gonna find out about that long before they're legal for sale in MD. :P

What I'd really love - and would pay more for - is a Legion version that had an X5-style grip, maybe even in the TXG material blend. I don't love the P365XL grip style this one has, albeit I could live with it in a pinch.

    It's 20 rounds/mag, not 25.
One would hope it's better reliability than the Mosquito....

there are already some good YouTube videos out there on this pistol. I watched 22plinkster's and he was slinging led with and without a can on it with no issues.

I did a Gunbroker search and five were showing. Idiots are bidding stupid money for the things just like they did with the Springfield SA-35 when they came out.

Sig already stated 25 rounders will be offered.

And it’s not outsourced like the mosquito was.

Ok, my mistake then. Everything I read didn’t mention 25. That’s awesome if it runs reliably with them.

Is calling dibs on a new gun a thing? E.g. is there a gun shop that will take a $400 deposit so I can be on a waitlist for the P322?

For this it is. For some stuff I'll offer a deposit for whenever they can get what I want. I have a couple good ones, and they take good care of me. Primarily Lanco Tactical in Etown and WInter firearms in Red Lion.

I'm not familiar with the process to add to the roster. Does a gun shop or a citizen just need to petition MSP?
From what I gather it appears either a shop or citizen can submit the petition. But as the sight mentions samples, I'm thinking that might be more geared towards a shop... https://mdsp.maryland.gov/Organizat...onBureau/LicensingDivision/HandgunRoster.aspx

Just to shed some more light on the process. Firearms approved at the next meeting will go on the next issue of the handgun register. Once on the register, there is a 30 day period where objections to the firearm can be made. If there be no objections in that 30 days, then the piece is officially on the roster.

I was tracking the Canik SFX Rival. It was approved at the 3/09 meeting, will be on the 3/25 register, barring objections I can purchase 4/24. Assuming same timeline here the 6/15 approvals would be on a 6/24 (assuming last Friday of month releases) register and approved for purchase 7/24.

I submitted a petition for the new Sig P365-380 to be added to the Maryland Handgun Roster. No sample was submitted. The petition has been judged complete and assigned Petition No. 22080. The Handgun Roster Board will consider the Sig P365-380 at the 06/15/2022 meeting. There may be a problem getting the P322 added to the Handgun Roster because a 10 round magazine option is not currently available for the firearm.

There is a good chance that Sig is already planning on submitting the pistol to MD for approval and the marketing people just left off the 10 round availability.

Someone who hears better than me should make a phone call. ;)

I thought 22LR was exempt from the round restriction ?

*edit, maybe that’s only tube fed…

Pretty sure I watched a video already though that SIG stated 10 round state compliant versions are coming too

There will be a 10 round gun. The standard cap is being released first.
