I've apparently been bitten by the OTF bug. I just picked up this Microtech UTX-85 II signature series today. I'd been looking for one slightly smaller than the Ultratech and with a tanto blade.

For EDC, the UTX-85II is ~0.5" shorter retracted and definitely sits better in a pocket, IMO. The texture on the handle is a nice feature as well. The Ultratech is not massive, but the additional half inch does make a difference in pocket.

In a nod to our Scottish friends, here is a nice 4"/4" 5160/brass/bone/Ironwood dark blade recently acquired as an, ahem, "stocking stuffer".

This one is likely staying with me.

AEB-L at 62 RC. 0.08" stock ground down to a laser fine edge.
4" blade and 8" OAL.
Bloodwood handle with 416 stainless steel bolsters and pins.

I only have one but I’ve always liked Dozier’s designs and quality. Nice knives.

Burned $275 worth of Hilton points a couple of years ago to acquire this Bastinelli Raptor off Amazon. Just got it back from Frederick Edgeworks the other day, who put a fresh edge on it and cleaned it up for $4.
