So, first time I'm replacing a bead sight on a shotgun and I noticed the threading on the Meprolight sight I got is a bit longer than the factory sight that came with my 500.

When fully threaded in, it sticks out just under 1/32" into the barrel, rather than being flush like the factory sight. I'm guessing this isn't safe and I should probably either trim it or add a washer for proper spacing? Or am I overthinking it?
