Shop with good US/Euro bolt action inventory

Seem to recall being told about a shop in PA somewhere that stocked and specialized a lot of European bolt action rifles

Have a friend wanting to handle a Tikka. I have no idea why. I'm encouraging her to look at Remington and CZ as well but before that she really wants to see some Euro guns.

Primary use would be shooting from the bench. She doesn't hunt. She's talking .308.

If I were buying new, I’d buy a Tikka if a custom action wasn’t in the budget. I’ve been to a lot of shops in PA recently, but I haven’t been to any that currently had a large selection on hand.

You are describing euro optic in montoursville pa. Link in dutchV post. Good shop. They aren't cheap though. Been to Grice and bought a project rifle there. They buy overruns or old stock and you can sometimes find deals that way but their inventory fluctuates a lot as a result.

What kind of tikka is your friend looking to handle and where are they located?

sportsmans warehouse harrisburg penna should have some tikkas. i bought one from their morgantown wv store a few years back.

tikkas are sort of like the glocks of the rifle world. nothing fancy, but they work and are pretty accurate. a simple trigger spring change results in a pretty nice trigger. also have decent aftermarket of prefit barrels and stocks.

eurooptic does have some tikkas at $800 right now.

I suggested just starting at a larger gun show to hopefully handle a bunch of different things. I'm not a modern bolt action guy, more of a Mosin type.

+1 on Euro Optic I bought my Anschutz 1761 and a number of scopes and red dots from them. They are great to deal with and really helpful if you have any issues / problems with anything you purchase from them.

Neither of my current T3s are stock. One is full custom and has been through three? Barrels now. The other is a factory barrel and action but sitting in an MPA chassis. Depending on where your friend is located, she's welcome to check them out.
