Shipping Pistol Ammo to another State

Are there any regulations governing the shipment of pistol ammo from a non-FFL seller to a non-FFL buyer in another state? If there are no actual laws governing this are there any UPS, FED-Ex or USPS regulation that should be known about? Thanks.

Has to be labeled other restricted material domestic, just like hairspray etc ORM-D

Here are some labels you can select to put on the package. This is a Federal regulation.

Ship from a full ups main customer center not a drop off packaging store.

UPS has no prohibition on shipping ammo from a UPS store. Only firearms. But some may refuse to do it out of ignorance.
