I’m surrounded by expensive knives all day. I use this more in a month the. The rest of these benchmade cops will use theirs in a year (minus cutting drugs to throw in test kits). Also yes that long paracord is kinda annoying but it gets used frequently to secure doors open in abandoned properties so it stays.

I don't like folders for field dressing. Too many crevices to clean afterwards. But thanks for the recommendations.

Unless you’re gonna “pass it down” no need for a fancy skinning knife. I made 2 out of blanks they are amazing and i got like $85 into two knives. I gut with a leatherman.

True. The Spyderco knives for the most part are collector knives and/or use over-engineered knife steel that exceed real-world needs. I still like them though.

My $25, factory blemish (that I can't find anything wrong with), made in the USA scallion is good for me.

I have a an all-black Scallion that I have had since about 2010. The Ken Onion designs are awesome.

I see Spyderco knives as tool knives. Scratches etc. don’t bother me.
