I was looking through Ebay and came across a Scorpion Armaments BS99 Crane SOPMOD Inspired Buttstock for $44.98 shipped.

Has anybody on here tried one? I have used LMT sopmods and the newer B5 systems stocks and really like em, I just can't figure out how they can sell a similar looking one for that price. Thanks

I question why a real sopmod is 200 in the first place. I dont see a reason why they couldnt sell them for less.

Off topic whats the difference between the B5 and original sopmod?

Manufacturer. Real sopmod is made by lmt. B5 now manufacturers one to the same specs as lmt, the batch was made wrong and are to tight so be careful if you buy used. Some people say the lmt sopmod has better fit and finish. B5 go for $99 and you can pick up lmt sopmods for $120-175 . they aren't my favorite stocks

I actually didnt like how tight the sopmods were. Kind of annoying to move. It did stay solid though...

Why risk it? The Magpul alternatives are very nice. I've got the STR and the cheek weld is fantastic.

I really enjoy my LMT stock, I was just looking to see if anyone has ever used the scorpion stock. It looks like a regular LMT sopmod, but with anything in life that is 1/4 of the price I have to wonder to myself do I really want to worry about that part of the rifle?
