So, have we talked about Sen. Jack Bailey voting FOR SB387, aka Ghost Gun bill, yet?

Disappointment doesn't begin to describe it.
    Disappointed, yet not surprised...

Pissed off is more like it,, when is he up for re-election.
It is one thing when Dems vote to "**** this state",, that is expected.

Why do you say "not surprised" ? is he know to be a left leaning RINO ?

Time to make sure he does NOT get back in next election cycle.

MD's committees have a standing "rule", that if you offer amendments that are accepted on a bill, you must vote for it in committee and in the full chamber. If you break that rule, your bills never get heard, so you might as well just stay home. Period. It's a crap sandwich anyway you slice it. You get a choice to water down the bill and support it, or let it be rammed though without your input. Welcome to BS politics.

    Thanks.
Had heard he was trying to water it down. Your post makes sense, esp. since he said, " I was sort of it a box with this " in reference to his YES vote.

    Still don't like it.
At what point have we compromised ALL of our rights away?

What rights are you talking about? We don't have rights in Maryland...we have privileges that can and will be taken away. If we actually had rights no one here would comply with any gun control...
We do. Maryland just doesn’t recognize them. We should do lunch.

Senator Bailey was RINO Larry's hand-picked man to get rid of Steve Waugh, a Republican who wouldn't kowtow to RINO Larry. Larry punished Waugh by running Bailey against him in the primary and beating him. Now we're stuck with Bailey, whom I believe is a former Natural Resources Cop, until someone displaces him or he retires. He's a bit of a Fudd for sure.

From what I could see on the hearing video, his contribution to watering down the bill was to fix the wording so solid rectangular blocks of aluminum were not considered receivers. In other words, he helped them avoid legal challenges. Very low value for selling your vote.

He was a dnr cop. Hard to lose here with a locally recognized last name.
