I think it's rich that these legislators sat up there and complain about "legal guns are stolen by criminals and used, that's why we need to put these restrictions is place". While at the same time making almost every location a "sensitive place" which will require people to leave their firearms in their cars. Once guns start getting stolen from vehicles they will again blame the law abiding citizens instead of the policies that required people to leave their guns in the car to comply with the law.
The Hopkins and Everytown goons brought up safe storage in vehicles laws already. The intent is to make the permit an expensive and useless burden to stop people from getting them

    So hide? No thanks
    Hide. Yeah. Sick of it.

I'm sick of hiding my interests from my wife's commie family because she is afraid of being black balled. Been upset about this for years. They visit and I have to hide my shit. We visit, and I basically have to bite my tongue when they go on their commie dribble. Done with it.

Being forced underground by the state? Might as well be a criminal, then. That's apparently what they want.

I've generally lived my life as a grey man, blending in, not making waves. Seemed like the easy way to deal with the lefty politics of the majority of folks of every place I seem to find myself. The price for that was my soul. Done with it.

    eff 'em.

Next MDS meet in the MGA's new reeducation camps. First cup of gruel is on me.

Expect a lot of bolt cutters walking out of hardware stores, not only are they good for busting a window of a car out, quick snip and away goes the firearm lock box. Which can then be opened at their leisure in a safe place.

After initially seeing this news i was upset but ive come to the point where i realized i dont even care. Ill continue to do as ive been doing

Free men aren’t bound by unConstitutional laws, and have no obligation to follow them.

I will continue to pump funds into MSI to fight these infringements, but beyond that I no longer care what laws these tyrants pass.

Sounds like my in-laws, but not to that extreme. I did have my father in law tell me once that my son would want me to sell my guns. My son was 1 (only 2 now). I said I have a gun in my safe with his name on it. The day he's old enough he will learn how to safely and properly use it. I'm vocal with them now. Used to be more quiet, but it is hilarious watching them sit quiet or squirm when they can't say a single thing back to me. They have backed off quite a bit.

At the end of the day concealed is concealed. I'm not going to walk around a mall carrying, then run back to my car to store my piece while I'm having dinner and not drinking. The only way anyone will know I'm carrying is if I am forced to use to defend my life or another's. And at that point they can charge me with whatever they want. Eff em

I didn't think it warranted a post of its own but going forward October 1st we're still good with the previous knife laws with a wear and carry correct? The verbiage only mentions firearms from what I can tell.
The one good thing that came out of SB1 was striking the provision that allows for the "Not valid where firearms are prohibited by law" text on the card to have any force of law beyond just being a reminder. The W&C doesn't just cover guns, it also covers any "dangerous weapon" as we're exempted from the laws prohibiting the carry of those under 4-101. But if the W&C permit is "invalid," all of a sudden those 100yd exclusion zones in MoCo also include dangerous weapons instead of just firearms so that the only method of defense is pepper spray or fists.

I mean, I ignored it anyway. It says it right on the card:
    the following permit restriction(s):

    1) NONE (MD ONLY) (NOT VALID WHERE FIREARMS ARE PROHIBITED BY LAW)

None means none. The parenthetical is positioned as a reminder that "none" doesn't mean that there aren't off-limits places. MD would have a hard fight claiming otherwise for non-firearm carry. But IANAL, don't blame me if MD is able to successfully make that argument against someone before October 1.

This change is also good for the obvious separation from the 4-203 penalties that will now be 5 years, but that wasn't as big of a problem before SB1, so I'm not giving them credit for that.

    (b) Exceptions for certain individuals.- This section does not prohibit the following individuals from carrying a weapon:
    [...]
    (3) a holder of a permit to carry a handgun issued under Title 5, Subtitle 3 of the Public Safety Article; or

The dwelling clause - is that just private property or include public places like grocery store, hardware store, etc? Waiting for final bill to get clarification, was confused during the hearings.
It appears currently it is just dwellings unless posted by private property.

They really think "more guns is not the answer" not realizing the real question. If criminals are criminals because they ignore laws, what stops a "mass murderer?" Certainly not another law like restricting permits that wouldn't affect them anyway.

They really do live in a fantasy world where they ignore the most basic problem of criminals.

I've had a few family members (aunts and uncles) essentially "disown" me because I am pro-gun. And honestly? IDGAF. They hate it when I point out, "Who do you call when you're in trouble? Oh yea, a guy with a gun"
