I know what you mean. It really comes down to personal preference. There is something to be said for the extra feeling of safety with the external one.

Great gun and great price... I just don't like external safeties.

Then don't use it. I have one and never use my safety. Already double action. Good price for this gun. I paid nearly double when they came out, but mine does have the laser.

Glad I grabbed one. Shot it yesterday in the sweltering heat at Freestate. Was a bit apprehensive about the double action only, but shot it pretty well until my hands started sweating.

Took me about 25 rounds or so to get used to the trigger feel. The pic below is well after that, in the last 4 or 5 mags...(@ 7 yards)
My 1st group was about 18", haha...

And the guys who claim 380's go "pew, pew, pew", must be confusing them with their 22's sound Mine goes "pop, pop, pop"

This one, to me, sounds darn near the same as my 5" barreled XD9.
