Ruger Mini 14 scope

I've been shooting open sights on my Mini and i'd like to get a scope for it but the few I have looked at (< 4) don't have a proper eye relief in my opinion. Does anyone have a brand they use that they feel works and fits well. I just want to shoot the hell out of those evil paper plates from the dollar store at 50 to 100 yds nothing more than having fun. ATI folding stock if that makes a difference.

Have you considered a red dot? They're pretty good for plate sized targets at 100 yards. Indefinite eye relief, and good speed of acquisition.

As I recall, an amiga scout rail and trs-25 will give you 1/3 co-witness if that's of interest.

I've been using a vintage Bushnell Banner 3x9 on mine. Really clear glass and more than accepptable for killing paper at 100yds. If you buy a vintage one make sure it was made in Japan. Really good scope for about $75.

This is the scope mount you want. The ones that mount on the side loosen up way too easily.

Get an Ultimak forward mount and a red dot , have one on one of mine and it's pretty handy .

I have a Vortex 2-7x32mm mounted on mine (pic below). Works well for punching paper at 50-100 yards. Clear glass with decent relief.
