I'm thinking of running up to Falling Waters for some supplies. Are either RSP or Haffers prices close to Shyda's for powder and primers? Also, who has more stock RSP or Haffers?

    TIA

I bought some SW blackout from RSP, recently, but their prices was in-line with powder valley prices, minus the shipping and hazmat fees. I never been to Hafers, but I heard their prices are not any better as well. Because of this, I been buying powder online as of late.

Sorry John, I was just at Hafer's on Saturday but wasn't looking at primers. They had LOTs of AR's and pretty good selection of ammunition. Again, was just window shopping and not looking at the prices.

If you're headed out that way anyway, that's one thing, but if going for supplies is the sole purpose of the trip, Shyda's in Lebanon, PA has better prices (cash) than just about any other place I've seen, and they had a pretty solid stock of most of what you'd need to reload.

I use it as a day trip to get my wife out in the sun. We usually have lunch somewhere and hit Shyda's and maybe one or two other places

I figured I would ask about RSP and Haffers as I haven't be up there since I retired. Looks like a PA trip is in the works.

Call rsp and ask what they have on the shelf before heading out there it varies week to week. Hafers is priced higher than rsp for powder and primer in my experience.

I live just over the river from RSP and they normally have a much better selection of powders than Hafer's does. I would always go there before Hafer's for powder and primers.

Same for me - my wife and I are blowing through shotgun shells like it's nobody's business! We both got into shooting trap back in January, and we're at the AGC trap field 2-3x per week. I've got to start curtailing how many rounds I'll shoot on a given day because I'm getting to where I'm having a hard time keeping up with the reloading demands. I went and bought a couple of flats at Bass Pro yesterday - I about choked on the prices and the selection was bad.

For a long while, reloading 12ga wasn't worth the effort. The way ammo prices are going, it may become cheaper to reload again, providing you buy a used press as new ones are ridiculously priced.

Hafers is always super expensie compared to other places. I live just down the street from the MD one and I dont bother going. Its not worth it. He is always considerably more expensivve than other places in the area

I got lucky in that regard - I bought a used press from a guy, and he graciously gave me all kinds of supplies - to date, I've only purchased shot and powder, and I didn't need powder for a bit.
