A couple of weeks ago I purchased one of the new Rossi stainless steel 357 MAG/38 SPL lever guns. The thread about that and my first range visit with it is here:

I experienced some feeding issues with the 38 SPL in particular. After researching that rifle I found a forum for Rossi rifles and a thread there about making the rifle function better. I've done the process described and now all my various ammo cycles through without any jams. I'll have to get out to the range again and perform a live fire test, but I think it should be fine now. If anyone else is having cartridge feeding issues, I hope this solution is helpful to you.
Fixed my .357's feeding problems

The OP there, rondog, has 3 videos about reworking the cartridge stop in the rifle. Here is the first one. There are 2 more which further explain what is going on and what to do about it. It basically involves filing down the bevel on the cartridge guide to allow the stop to move farther into the area of the tube magazine so it can better hold back the next cartridge.
If you want some tips on disassembling the rifle I found these 3 other youtube videos to be useful.

Here is a photo of some metal shavings I removed from behind the left cartridge guide area. That is a 1/4" screwdriver and a 1/8" punch in the photo with the 3 scraps I removed with a cotton swab.
