I was reloading some once-fired Winchester 22-250 brass and the rim of the neck rolled on one of the cartridges. Is this safe to shoot or should I dispose of it?
Thanks everyone.
I'm not going to reuse the case. After I salvage the bullet and powder, what is the safest way to dispose of the case and primer?
This is one I reloaded. I used a Lee Loader kit and a mallet. I'm not sure how this happened. I resized, cleaned off the case lube, chamfered and deburred inside and outside the neck. I made sixty rounds this morning and this was the only one that came out like this. I think it was number 4/60.
I'd put it in some water for awhile.
Did you reload that cartridge? If so you might want to check your sizing die.
I've had the case mouth get dented if a flat base bullet was canted. .
Never had a live primer go off when depriming.
They just plop out and most of them has been reusable.
