One can hope. Mag confiscation is a hill that I'm willing to die on. If they try this in MD, they will force me to change hat color.
What I wanna know is how can they confiscate what we all lost on our Titanic trip?

Couldn't afford the ticket for the boat tour with the cool kids. Happy to tell the JBTs where the offending personal property is buried. Unfortunately, that land was taken by eminent domain and is currently in public use as a sewage treatment plant.... happy excavating. What I wanna know is how can they confiscate what we all lost on our Titanic trip?
Good one 4g64, This poor slob was one of the hired help on the Voyage with the unaffordable ticket prices.Couldn't afford the ticket for the boat tour with the cool kids. Sounds like it. Thomas went after the public safety argument being used to restrict carry. Courts can't use scrutiny, intermediate or strict, in some sort of test to restrict 2A protections.Odds are good after this morning's Bruen ruling that these laws are going to be declare unconstitutional soon (not soon enough, but soon).
Did you read the decision in it’s entirety? You should. Thomas was throwing bones left and right. The magazine ban will eventually be declared unconstitutional since it violates the Takings Clause of the 5th Amendment.
This. It is worth a read. Even if you don't speak lawyer, there is enough in engrish that us poor unwashed can understand.Did you read the decision in it’s entirety? You should. Thomas was throwing bones left and right.
Magazine bans will be shut down because of the 2A.
AWB will be shut down because of the 2A.
Sensitive places will not be abused because of the 2A.
You guys who just read the first page are missing a TON.
Being a nerd, he’s my favorite.Thomas writes in a plainer, more direct, style than many judges. His opinions are worth reading. If he wasn't a Justice, he would make a heck of a writer. If only laws were written so clearly.
If they do try this, and if I owned any standard size magazines (i.e. banana clips), I would not comply.Rhode Island to Confiscate Ammo Magazines, Ban Gun Sales to Anyone Under 21

No grandfather clause. Felons overnight. Mandatory turn in.
God help us in this governor's election in MD this term.
Coming soon to an MGA near you. This upcoming session is going to be rough. They will try to lock down shall issue to the point the permits are meaningless, HBAR exception removal, and you can bet your bippy possession of 10+ round mags will be outlawed.
Just because you are a sworn officer does not allow you to go on a witch hunt on private property. There are many statutes and case law that make this a no no with out certain requirements.doubtful they'll be kicking down doors. but guess what, they catch you at the range, or during a traffic stop, or get called to your home for a disturbance or even swatting, or a successful home defense, and it won't be pleasant.
People have been spouting this for years. Not saying they won’t pass more restrictions but it’s never as bad as some people here say it will be.
Even FSA2013 as enacted wasn't nearly as bad as the bill Owe'Malley originally introduced. It still sucked, but it would have sucked a lot worse without the efforts of MSI, PP, and others.2013 enters the room...
Yes that was definitely one of the worst but not nearly as bad as it was first written. EVERY year since them there are some that have said it will be worse, we're in for it, etc, etc. and it is never as bad as they say. ANY gun control law they pass is BS and most of the people here are vehemently against it.2013 enters the room...
