Please forgive me if this has been brought up before. I did a quick forum search and didn't find anything.
Did we miss an opportunity to put forward an amendment to remove the 7 day waiting period with 281? Since they were driving licensing down our throats, we could have answered, "Since we will be doing exhaustive background checks including fingerprints to get the license, let's let licensed buyers walk out of the store with their new handgun rather than making them wait "7" days for another background check." It would have been hard for the dems to argue against it. If their new background check is as awesome as they say it is...let them put their money where their mouth is.
Maybe something to bring forward next year...
