Got a decent buy on a “new to me” 7600 carbine length in .35 whelen. I have two 7600 rifles, both 30-06 with Leupold rings and bases. On this rifle, I plan to mount a 3X9X40 Leupold vari-x2 that I have on hand. I’m looking at the DNZ Game Reaper 52700 (medium height) I like the integral base and rings, and thinking this may be a better option on a 35. Any insight whether the DNZ would be superior to a Leupold mount for this application? I initially wanted to use a low mount DNZ, but after taliking to someone from DNZ, she kind of pointed me towards a medium mount. I think mostly she was unsure if a low mount would have sufficient clearance. There will be no iron sights.
