Remington 512 sportsmaster

Can I use this remington sportsmaster 512 to hunt small game it has no serial numbers before that was mandatory would I run into any trouble??

Yes you may. The gun is perfectly legal. I hunted for years with a Rem 513. DNR never batted an eye when inspected in field.

Great guns. I have a 511 scoremaster that I like alot. I think they are pretty much the same gun except the 512 has a tube magazine vs the box magazine on the 511. Enjoy

The 5 series rimfires from Remington are deadly accurate gune. I restored a rust covered 514 (bore was still ace), which was the lowest tier option in the whole series, and was able the rather consistently shoot quarter/half dollar-sized metal slugs off posts from 25 yards with it. That's good enough for me...those old guns are just built great.

My oldest brother had a Remington 512 which became my second hand me down gun ( first was the Savage 3C my Aunt bought in response to Pearl Harbor.).
