I'm interested participating in rapid fire pistol competition but have had a hard time finding anyone in the Washington metro area that can give a newbie some guidance. Any suggestions? I'm specifically interested in the Olympic/international style of rapid fire

sounds similar to bianchi cup or nra action pistol, look those up. with these you're stationary but shooting at stationary and also moving targets. i believe chambersburg (PA) rifle and pistol club (or something like that) hosts these. i went up there a while back for a practice session.

while they're definitely challenging, they're a little slow for me and i have focused on uspsa and idpa, which are more running and gunning on predominantly stationary targets but also occasional movers and swingers and also steel. lots of info on these in this competition section.
