I'm not picking on those new to, or thinking of getting involved in shooting, but you might want to give this a little thought.
I've now been at a range twice, firing live ammunition from a centerfire rifle. This is not quiet. But please, if you want to "look at the shooting" don't just walk towards the sounds of the muzzle blast without a little thought as to where you are in relation to the bullet's flight. Ranges are usually signposted & marked a "private" as this one is. Those signs are there for a reason. To inform you you're walking into a danger zone!
This is the second time that non-shooters, one a father with a little girl, have just walked out on to a live range while firing is happening, appearing between the firing line & the target. This is potentially deadly so please exercise a little thought before there is a terrible accident, you see when a shooter is using a telescopoic sight (as most do nowadays) we can't see you untill you're darn near standing where the bullet is going to pass by.
