Being from PA, there was always a state gamelands with a rifle range right up the road. Seems like all we have around Salisbury are paid ranges. Am I missing something? Are there no free public rifle ranges on Delmarva?

No. And welcome to Merryland. We pay for everything down here. I am going to meet my Ranger buddy in Warren, PA this coming week and he will be opening a private range complex in that area in the Spring.

I'll arrange for some free range time for you once he's up and running.

I'll also recommend that you get in some time at the ranges over at Bridgeville, DE. The facilities are good and the guys over there are great to deal with. Good luck and I hope you don't have to waster too much time in Unsafe, MD.

I remember growing up and driving 5-10 minutes up the road with my dad to run a couple rounds through our deer guns at the range before the season started. Man talk about not appreciating what you have until it's gone...
