I just read it's not worth the cost and hassle. Better to buy an AP5-P

That's about the same sale price they've been running on and off for a while. Good deal if that's what you want.
It's cost prohibitive to change the barrel. Just buy a different model if you want a threaded or 3 lug barrel.

Mags are roughly $65/69 a piece, PSA's blowing them out for less than what we could buy them for - dealer cost is 1055.95, map (hard-deck) is 1180.

I own a bunch of MKE's and they have never failed to please since 2009. If you don't have one, do yourself a favor and buy one.

These M models were $899 last fall and remained in stock for a good bit after the AP5 full size and the AP5-P sold out. I guess the $30 covers the single point sling it now comes with as they try to market them to people who don’t want to Form 1.

In addition to the cost of a barrel, labor for a barrel swap is like $400 last I checked. There are some smiths that can weld a tri lug to the muzzle, but I’d imagine that’s also not cheap.

The AP5-P with the MP5KN style barrel that has tri lugs and threads that everyone wants is not that much more when in stock, especially on sale.
