Was at Engage the other day and saw an AUG on their rack. I assumed that it was a MSAR but was told that it was a NATO version AUG A3M1--they recently got it approved by the MSP due to the incompatibility of parts between the standard AUG and the NATO AUG. The only caveat here is that the 16"...

Sorry my friend, the Steyr AUG (standard and NATO variant) has been banned since 2013.

Yes, but it is still showing banned by name on the MSP website. If Engage got this approved, and it stands, then that is great news.

I was soooooo close to getting an AUG … and then a friend let me shoot his.

That trigger was a deal killer for me and I threw my $ at one then two IWI X95’s (and also an ACE in 556; not a bull pup but, also a great trigger, esp compared to the AUG …)
