The greater risk from animals is the virus can live on their hair like on other surfaces possibly for days. So if someone who is sick sneezes into their hand then pets your dog, cat, horse, and later you pet your animal then touch your face. Guess what could happen.

There is a disinfectant for animals BUT it probably does not work for Cronovirus.

This disinfectant probably won't work for Corona Virus (see note) but it may be something to keep on hand for other nastiness.

    NOTE
"Thus, SARS-CoV-2 belongs to the betaCoVs category. It has round or elliptic and often pleomorphic form, and a diameter of approximately 60–140 nm. Like other CoVs, it is sensitive to ultraviolet rays and heat. Furthermore, these viruses can be effectively inactivated by lipid solvents including ether (75%), ethanol, chlorine-containing disinfectant, peroxyacetic acid and chloroform except for chlorhexidine."

Minor threadjack: Blacksmith, have you been up to the SLCFSA range lately?
    Wondering if it is crowded.

No not since before this started. I have a friend who goes regularly and he has not mentioned any problems. We normally go during the week when it isn't busy.

Keep me in the loop on this. I am off work and wondering if it's good for shooting right now. I am a SLCFSA member.

Are the 3m 1820 masks any good for a little prevention?

    Today's CDC infection/death count:

    COVID-19: U.S. at a Glance*
    Total cases: 80
    Total deaths: 9
    States reporting cases: 13

    From https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-in-us.html

    Today's count:

    COVID-19: U.S. at a Glance*
    Total cases: 10,442
    Total deaths: 150
Jurisdictions reporting cases: 54 (50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and US Virgin Islands)

...not looking good. That first set of numbers was from 16 days ago. In another two weeks, we could be looking at massive numbers.

It's logarithmic. Also, wait until we can really start to test.

Hogan saying that all people returning from “spring break” should self quarantine for 14 days. Yea, I’m sure they’ll listen to that also!
